Qdea has updated Synchronize! Pro X, the Mac OS X only took for making bootable system backups, to version 3.0, adding file archiving.
This feature saves copies of replaced and deleted files in an archive so you can refer to them in the future. Archived files can be grouped into a variety of sizes for writing to CD-R or DVD; archive disk space is automatically reclaimed by removing the oldest files to make space for new files.
Synchronize! Pro X — which requires Mac OS X 10.1.1 or higher — can be used to sync files. A demo copy is available at the Qdea Web site. Registration is US$99.95.
When you purchase a serial number, new versions of Synchronize! Pro can be used at no additional charge for a period of two years from the date of purchase. To use a version of the software published more than two years after the purchase date, a new serial number must be purchased at a renewal price ($49.95).
Your license doesn’t expire; the serial number you purchase will always work with the software available at the time of your purchase. However, it only works with new versions of the software for two years after your purchase.
