has released “iPhoto 2: The Missing Manual” (ISBN 0-596-00506-7), a new book by David Pogue, Joseph Schorr, and Derrick Story that covers the latest version of Apple’s iLife application for digital photo management.
The US$24.95, 336-page book covers choosing and mastering a digital camera, the basics of good photocomposition, and tips for shooting special subjects like sports, kids, nighttime shots, and more. Sections include: “Essentials of photography” (a guide to digital cameras features, along with professional tips), “Editing basics (which looks at how to master iPhoto’s brightness and contrast controls, cropping tools, new Enhance and Retouch commands, and more), and “Finding an audience” (which tells you how to show your photos on screen, on the Web, or as QuickTime movies for burning on CD or DVD).
