French Mac software developer AppMac Software has taken the wraps off xTime Project, a new project management software application designed specifically for Mac OS X.
Optimized to work with Apple’s iCal and Address Book software, and built using Mac OS X’s Cocoa application framework, xTime Project helps users manage their resources, time and costs associated with any project.
Features include the ability to display project details using Gantt charts, scalable from daily to yearly. An “Autofit” formatting option will optimize the schedule to eliminate excess space. You can use summary bars to illustrate the starts and endings of project phases; highlight critical paths to emphasize key tasks; set task dependencies; summarize project costs and other values with a report function; and much more.
xTime Project comes with 10 example schedules to get your projects started, as well.
xTime Project works with all versions of Mac OS X, but some features require Jaguar or later to work. It’s localized for English and French — German and Spanish versions are on the way.
AppMac is offering an “introductory price” for xTime Project for US$99, for a download version (a CD-ROM-based version is also available for $119).
