Apple’s Bill Hudson, senior strategic business development manager for professional applications, will be a speaker at The Digital Studio, an executive summit and showcase that will focus on how digital technology is transforming Hollywood, film, and TV. The two-day summit will take place on June 19-20, 2003, from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the Wyndham Belage Hotel in West Hollywood, Calif.
“The Digital Studio” will feature three tracks of panel discussions and presentations, and an exhibitor and demo showcase. Attendees will consider how to best incorporate digital technology into the creative and production process while keeping costs reasonable, according to Michael Stroud, founder of iHollywood Forum, Inc., sponsor of the event. Topics will include: visual effects; animation, high-definition filmmaking and television, acquisition, digital intermediates and mastering, audio, digital cinema, digital storyboards, production and post-production; DVD home video, HDTV, marketing and distribution.
Chuck Comisky, visual effects supervisor for director James Cameron’s Earthship Productions; Steve Wright, technical director for Cinesite; and Volker Engel, Oscar award winner for Best Special Effects for “Independence Day” will be keynote speakers.
