Writing for Apple’s Games site, Brad Cook turns his attention to Spearhead, the newly shipping expansion pack for Aspyr Media’s popular first-person shooter, Medal of Honor: Allied Assault.
Spearhead puts Medal of Honor players back in World War II, this time as paratrooper Sergeant Jack Barnes. The game starts during D-Day and follows events all the way to the fall of Berlin.
This expansion pack mixes things up a bit by emphasizing less on solo play and more on collaboration with other soldiers; in particular, you’ll need to follow the instructions of commanding officers who expect you to do what you’re told.
In addition to a nine-level single player campaign, Spearhead includes new multiplayer challenges like twelve new maps and a new mode, as well. You can carry new armaments and experience the war with new graphics (British and Soviet soldiers are modeled).
