Author-columnist David Pogue will be a guest speaker at the new meeting place of the Metropolitan New York Macintosh Alliance ( MetroMac ), a New York City Mac user group.
The organization’s meeting place will now be at the Theater of the Apple Store SoHo at the corner of Prince and Greene Streets in Manhattan. Pogue will be a guest at the upcoming gathering at 6 p.m., Thursday, June 12. The meeting will also include the regular Q&A session and a preview of the upcoming Macworld Creative Pro conference. Seating in the theater is first come, first served. (Of course, the store will be open for shopping before and during the meeting.)
After Pogue’s presentation, there’ll be an “iCafe” social hour at the SoHo New York Espresso Bar, located around the corner from the Apple Store at 133 Greene Street.
“We’ll grab a coffee or beverage and continue the meeting in a lively setting,” MetroMac President Chris Bastian said.
