Quadbase Systems Inc. and Sybase Inc. are working together to provide charting and reporting to transactional systems and applications powered by Adaptive Server Enterprise, Sybase’s enterprise-class relational database management system.
Quadbase will integrate Quadbase EspressReport, a Java reporting tool, with Sybase ASE, and Apple’s WebObjects 5.2. The integration is designed to enable developers to create reporting solutions and present information from multiple applications and data sources in real-time.
Quadbase EspressReport is a Java reporting tool that lets users develop and deploy information-rich reports across any platform. Sybase ASE is designed for “mission critical, transaction intensive enterprise applications.” WebObjects is an application platform for building Web server applications for the Web.
“Robust integration with leading relational database management systems (RDBMS) like Sybase ASE and leading application servers like Apple’s WebObjects allows our customers to leverage existing infrastructure technology investments,” said Fred Luk, president of Quadbase. “Our integration capabilities also give customers greater flexibility in adapting real-time data reporting to span their entire organization and integrate with critical silos of information and applications for much better business performance.”
