LapWorks Inc. has released the SwivlPad accessory for its Laptop Desk. A small disk, designed to be placed beneath the Laptop Desk when it’s configured to work at a table or desk, the SwivlPad is a “turntable” that makes it possible to rotate your laptop 360 degrees. The accessory is US$19.95 — or $15.00 when bought with a new Laptop Desk.
The SwivlPad features non-slip material on both outside surfaces, so it can grip all surfaces. It’s 3/16th of an inch thick, 8.25 inches in diameter, and weighs six ounces. It fits between the folded panels of the Laptop Desk and into a computer bag.
The Laptop Desk is a one-pound, six-ounce, US$29.95 portable notebook platform built from polycarbonate plastic and has built-in ventilation channels that allow hot air to escape. Version 2.0 of the platform can also double as a desktop stand. When folded over, it elevates the screen and inclines the keyboard to one of five ergonomic typing angles.
