Tenon Intersystems is discontinuing their WebTen Web server, which has been replaced by Tenon’s iTools 7.
In 1997, Tenon brought WebTen, a point and click Apache. Later the company introduced iTools, a Web server package for Mac OS X that was an evolution of WebTen. There was some naming confusion as Apple later introduced iTools, an Internet suite of products and services.
Now Apple’s iTools has evolved into the .Mac subscription service. And WebTen is being discontinued as iTools 7 comes to the forefront at Tenon again. Tenon says iTools 7 is “robust, easy-to-manage, and full-featured” and offer built-in logging analysis, separate administration per domain, and Apache 2. As for WebTen, it will be sold for US $99 per copy as long as supplies last.
