Monkeybread Software has updated IP in Menubar, a utility for displaying the current IP in the Mac OS X menubar (near the clock) to version 2.0.
IP in Menubar shows REALbasic developers how to create a status item in the menubar and add a menu.The 2.0 update adds: router support using a config file; a menu entry to Quit; a menu entry with the URL to the Monkeybread Web site; and a menu entry to update the IP.
IP in the Menubar is made with REALbasic, the development environment from REAL Software Inc. It requires Mac OS X 10.2 or later. IP in the Menubar is freeware (though contributions are accepted); the source code is included.

Artman 21 has released JChecker3.0 Rev3.0.5, a HTML checker and HTML source code editor that runs on Mac OS X and Mac OS 8.6-9.x.
As an HTML checker, JChecker3.0 supports 16 HTML/XHTML validation dictionaries, auto-generation for DTD dictionaries, auto HTML error correction, link checking (including sub linked pages) more, according to MacTech magazine. As a text editor, it supports such editing functions as regular expression search, AppleScriptability, and enhanced macro functions. Additionally, JChecker3.0 sports such functions as tag editing macro, a tag help macro, and a services menu under Mac OS X.
Rev.3.0.5 adds five new validation check items and improves the recursive link. Registration is US$36 for a single user license.
