Apple is helping young new Mac owners get the most of out their systems this summer by offering
Apple Camp. It’s a program that’s open to kids in grades 1 through 9 whose parents buy them a new Mac from the Apple Store between now and August 10, 2003.
Apple Camp is a week-long two and a half hour workshop that runs the week of August 11 and again the week of August 18, 2003. Parents are encouraged to tag along as Apple Store personnel help kids to try out new applications, techniques and shortcuts.
Two sessions are being offered: A Beginner session, which is scheduled to occur on Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 9 to 11:30AM; and an Advanced session scheduled for Tuesday and Thursday from 9 to 11:30.
The camp itself is free of charge, although Apple advises customers to register early as space is limited to a first-to-sign up basis. There’s a release form you’ll need to sign, and you’ll also need the transaction number from your receipt — visit the Web site for details.
