Before the end of the month e-on software will be releasing free updates to Vue d’Esprit 4 and Mover 4 for importing native Poser 5 files. Poser is a 3D figure and animation design tool from Curious Labs.
With the inclusion of the new technology, Vue d’Esprit 4 — a 3D studio for creating, rendering, and animating 3D natural scenery — will gain single frame import of Poser 5 scenes, while Mover 4, Vue d’Esprit’s “big brother,” will gain full animation support for such scenes. However, some native technologies such as Poser 5’s Hair Room and Cloth simulation won’t be supported in these updates.
Vue d’Esprit 4 comes with two CDs with 30 SolidGrowth 2 tree and plants, over 100 atmospheres, 100 different types of clouds, 300 materials, 250 3D objects, 50 example scenes, and a 340-page manual.
Mover 4 expands on the animation in Vue d’Esprit 4 and allows for the inclusion of fully animated digital characters, new motion effects, and network rendering. Mover 4 costs US$99. Versions prior to Mover 4.2 require Poser 4 for Poser animation import and use of Poser models; Mover 4.2 requires Poser 5.
Both Vue d-Esprit and Mover are Mac OS X compatible. Until the end of this month, e-on software is offering Vue d’Esprit 4 for Mac OS X for $149; the regular price is $199.
