Easypress Technologies on Monday announced plans to ship within three weeks an updated version of Atomik Roundtrip. The new version has been created to support QuarkXPress 6, the new version of Quark Inc.’s flagship desktop publishing software that’s expected to be released this week.
Atomik Roundtrip is a Quark XTension developed to provide bi-directional support for Extensible Markup Language (XML). The software preserves XML structures within QuarkXPress documents. It was first released in January, 2003 and has since received a v1.5 update that added new features including special character support, support for attribute-driven and contextual rules, and more.
The new version of Atomik Roundtrip for QuarkXPress 6 will be the first version to run natively on Mac OS X. What’s more, Easypress plans to offer it as a free update for registered Atomik Roundtrip users. The company plans to ship future versions of the Atomik Roundtrip CD with versions for Quark 4, 5 and 6 as well.
Atomik Roundtrip for QuarkXPress 6 will be available directly from Easypress Technologies, its resellers and system integrators. A single-user license for software carries a suggested retail price of US$4,495; Five-user licenses cost $16,119. More details, including links to demo versions and documentation, are available from the Easypress Web site.
