has updated PrintMagic for Mac OS X to version 3.0, which lets you print pictures and graphics. PrintMagic adds a new PrintBoard feature.
PrintMagic lets you select the text that you want to print (anything from a single character to multiple pages) in virtually any program. It eliminates the need to print an entire page or pages when all you want are some snippets, words, sentences, or paragraphs. The application supports styled and colored text and includes a virtual Desktop Printer that supports drag-and-drop printing. PrintMagic lets you save your selections to a file and you can add on-the-fly notes to any data that you print.
Version 3.0’s PrintBoard is used to collect multiple selections of text, pictures/graphics, and clipping files when creating projects for printing. It can be used for collecting text and images from across multiple Web pages, documents, and sources The PrintBoard includes tools for changing the fonts and point sizes of your collected data without affecting the source material. It includes a multiple level undo/redo feature.
As of version 3.0, PrintMagic and PrintMagic’s Desktop Printer can instantly print the contents of the Clipboard. PrintMagic’s windowshade feature now works in stages, providing more control over PrintMagic’s display. And the printing utility can print lists of the contents of Finder windows, even when the Finder window isn’t in the “list” view.
System requirements for PrintMagic 3.0 are Mac OS 10.1 or later. A demo version is available for download. Registration is US$24.95; registered users of version X can upgrade to version 3.0 for US$12.95.
