Last year Appligent Inc. introduced SecurSign 2.0, a server-based solution that allows for the high-volume, on-demand application of security and digital signatures to PDF documents. With Adobe’s introduction of Acrobat 6.0, Appligent is now offering SecurSign 2.2, which is compatible with Acrobat 6.0 and Mac OS X.
SecurSign lets you apply security features to large volumes of documents automatically using Acrobat’s standard security mechanisms; you can process documents in batch mode or dynamically. The application’s security features include user and owner passwords. Also, SecurSign provides restrictions for high-resolution printing, document assembly, modifying and copying text and graphics, as well as adding or changing notes and filling in or signing form fields.
SecurSign is available as a command-line server application; contact Appligent for pricing. It includes RSA BSAFE cryptographic security protocol software from RSA Security.
