Fusion Systems has begun shipping DigiPage 4.0 for Mac OS X.
DigiPage is a universal ROOM (Render Once, Output Many) workflow that’s designed to find file problems before the making of film or final plates. In other words, it’s supposed to detect hidden problems sometimes not found in PDF and PDF/X-1A files until a press proof is made.
Version 4.0 offers such new RIP technologies as the TrapPro automated in-line trapping solution. With Harlequin RIP Eclipse technologies at its core, DigiPage 4.0 for Mac OS X can produce plate-ready files, complete with dot-for-dot color composite proofing files that are compatible with the most imagesetters, CTP devices, and digital proofers.
This initial release of DigiPage 4.0 on Mac OS X includes support for PDF 1.4, including transparency layers, PDF/X-1A, PDF/X-3 and JBIG2. Also included are a range of layered options, such as the TrapPro in-RIP trapping solution, TIFF/IT-P1 file processing and file generation, ColorPro color management, CIP3 data export support, and a selection of proofing drivers.
A free, 30-day trial version is available for download from Fusion Systems International’s Web site. It requires Mac OS X 10.2.4 or greater.
