Tech Superpowers Inc.’s NewburyOpen.net, a free WiFi network on Newbury Street in Boston, Mass., has expanded its reach with the addition of Colortek.
NewburyOpen.net provides free AirPort-compatible WiFi wireless network access at several public points on the tony Newbury Street shopping area, located in Boston’s popular Back Bay neighborhood. Colortek specializes in digital film and printing services.
What’s more, NewburyOpen.net customers will be able to e-mail their digital photos through the service starting July 1st. After that date, e-mails sent to colortek@newburyopen.net can be output at photo quality for US$0.50 to $4 per print, depending on size and quantity.
While Tech Superpowers Inc. provides technology tools for small to midsize businesses, with a specialty in Macintosh technology. The company’s NewburyOpen.net is a free service that has drawn attention for Tech Superpower’s publication of the core spec that makes it work — in fact, the company’s founder and president, Michael Oh, is scheduled to speak at the 802.11 Planet conference as part of a panel entitled “Emerging Hotspot Business Models.”
