Shapiro Consulting Group Inc. (SCGI) plans to release in July a new plug-in for Adobe Photoshop called Asiva Sharpen+Soften. The plug-in leverages SCGI’s own Asiva technology to enhance sharpening and softening effects in Adobe’s flagship digital image editing software.
Asiva Sharpen+Soften works on Mac OS X and “Classic” Mac OS (as well as various flavors of Windows) and supports 8 or 16-bit, RGB or CMYK files. You can sharpen or soften one or more channels, and you can select HSL components for sharpening and softening as well. The plug-in incorporates a Sampler Tool to allow for the selection of a color range where sharpening or softening should occur, also.
SCGI said the new plug-in is currently in beta testing. The company plans to release the new plug-in by mid-July.
