MacSpeech Inc., the Mac-only speech recognition company, will be giving away a free Exhibit Hall Pass for July’s Macworld CreativePro Conference & Expo with each purchase of the iListen Transcription Voice Solution.
The US$299 solution includes iListen 1.6, Griffin Technologies iMic USB Adapter, VXi Parrot Translator Microphone/Headset, and a refurbished Olympus DS-2000 Digital Voice Recorder. iListen has “TalkAnywhere” technology, which lets you dictate into a variety of Mac applications. It translates speech to typed text and characters anywhere you would normally type.
Version 1.6, released June 2, adapts to your voice faster and more accurately, learns new words more quickly, and has improved transcription abilities for the medical and legal professions, according to MacSpeech President Donald MacCormick. Other new features include “hands free” correction, larger font sizes, new voice commands for Mac OS X, and the ability to do dictation and correction directly into more applications.
CreativePro runs July 14 – 18 at the Javits Center in New York City and will focus on professionals and “prosumers” interested in design, publishing, video and audio.
