CourseForum Technologies has updated its Web-based workgroup collaboration software
to v2.3. The new version gains new features, including support for RSS.
ProjectForum makes it possible for teams to plan projects, generate to do lists, design notes, task assignments, meeting notes, problem reports, collect feedback and more over the Web. The software supports multiple platforms including Mac OS X.
Version 2.3 adds an RSS feed. RSS, or Rich Site Summary (sometimes called RDF Site Summary), is an XML format used to syndicate Web content. ProjectForum’s support for the RSS format makes it possible to track changes using news aggregator software like NetNewsWire.
What’s more, the new version simplifies appearance and page layout to improve navigation, and a new feature has been added to make it easier to refer to pages in other groups and projects, too. New formatting features have been added, and other bug fixes and enhancements have been included.
Licenses for ProjectForum start at US$199, and through the end of July, every license purchased at the regular price will net a free license to use with a second workgroup. A free version is also available.
