Mac game publisher Aspyr Media Inc. has posted details about its forthcoming Macintosh conversion of Star Trek Elite Force II, the new 3D action game just released for the PC.
Star Trek Elite Force II is the sequel to Star Trek Voyager: Elite Force. The game puts you in the role of Lieutenant Munroe, leader of the Hazard Team — a group of specially trained Starfleet security personnel sent into high-risk situations.
While the original game put Munroe and the team in harm’s way protecting wayward starship Voyager on its long trip home, the sequel brings the Hazard Team back to the rest of the Federation, pitted against enemies familiar (like the Borg, Klingons and Romulans) and new.
Star Trek Elite Force II features thirteen different weapons and both solo and team-play options, with multiplayer games including Holomatch, Disintegration, Capture the Flag, Action Here and more.
Preliminary system requirements call for Mac OS X 10.1 or later or Mac OS 9.2.2; Power Mac G4, iMac G4, eMac, iBook (32MB VRAM model or better), PowerBook G4 (Gigabit Ethernet or later); 733MHz or faster processor; 256MB RAM; ATI Radeon or Nvidia GeForce2 MX or better graphics card with 16MB of VRAM or more.
Currently at its Beta development milestone, the Mac conversion of Star Trek Elite Force II is underway at the offices of Westlake Interactive. Aspyr anticipates delivery of the game in August.
