Apple took home two awards in the 2003 Industrial Design Excellence Awards, presented by the Industrial Designers Society of America and sponsored by BusinessWeek.
Apple picked up a Gold Award for its 12-inch and 17-inch PowerBooks and a Silver Award for its Xserve. The winners of this years awards were honored for using “design to push traditional brands into new markets, extend well-known brands into new products, and invent something totally new, cool, and useful.”
Apple’s two trophies give the company a total of 19 over the past five years. It leads all companies in the total number of awards.
