eZedia Inc. has announced the launch of its 2003 Zoom-ed Classroom Contest at this week’s National Educational Computing Conference (NECC). The contest, which promotes the company’s eZediaMX projects, awards one winning classroom from three grade categories with a new eMac.
eZediaMX is a multimedia authoring software application that enables users to integrate video, pictures and sound together. It uses a drag-and-drop visual interface free of programming and scripting jargon.
The 2003 Zoom-ed Classroom Contest is open to K-12 classrooms, and is broken into three grade categories. Each of the projects need to be based on one of five different curriculum areas, including Language Arts, Science, Social Studies, Mathematics and Art. Judging criteria include grade appropriate capabilities and functionality, creativity and originality, clear connection to curriculum topic and learning outcomes; and encouragement of participation and multiple means of expression.
The winners also receive a copy of eZediaMX for each participating student. For more details, visit the Web site.
