In game publisher Freeverse Software’s latest edition of its MontyMail newsletter, the company noted that it’s working on a new game called Burning Monkey Word Factory.
Scant details are available — in fact, the company doesn’t yet have any screenshots of the new game ready, but Freeverse confirmed it’s coming to both Mac and Windows computers, and it plans to show the game off in its booth at this month’s Macworld CreativePro Conference & Expo in New York.
Also coming are Burning Monkey Mah Jong, Freeverse’s take on the classic tile-matching game, and Active Lancer, a top-scrolling shoot ’em up action game.
Burning Monkey Solitaire III, the latest version of Freeverse’s long-running solitaire card game, is now at Golden Master — the final development milestone when a game is declared ready for manufacturing. “… we’re ready to start shipping it as soon as the replicators are done making the Compact Discs,” said the company.
And newly shipping is Solace, a strategy game that harkens back to classic board titles like Risk and Axis & Allies, in which you can play against one to six players as you vie for territory. The game is shipping now from Amazon.com, MacMall, the Freeverse Store, Apple Stores and other Mac game retailers.
