For the week ending June 15, Apple received the most unique visitors to
its Web site
of the top five Web sites operated by computer hardware manufacturers, according to a survey by Nielsen/NetRatings. Apple showed a unique audience of 3.6 million, as compared to second place Hewlett-Packard’s 2.4 million and Dell’s 2.1 million,
However, Apple and HP swapped spots in terms of time spent on the Web site per visit per person. The typical Apple visitor stayed 3 minutes, 44 seconds, while HP visitors hung around for 19 minutes, 46 seconds. Dell’s guests stayed on for 8 minutes, 50 seconds.
The number of unique visitors to all computer hardware manufacturers’ Web sites was 5.9 million, several of which would have visited multiple sites, according to Nielsen.
