has announced the release of FileWave for Mac OS X.
FileWave is a system administration tool designed to help facilitate the distribution and configuration of software from a central server. It can also be used for asset tracking and management, client system monitoring, and more.
The Mac OS X release comprises three components, or modules: FileWave XServer 1.0, the central server; FileWave XAdmin 1.0, used for asset management; and FileWave XClient 3.0, the module installed on the end-user’s machine. Each of the new components is designed exclusively for Mac OS X.
FileWave noted that the new software is also certified to run on Apple’s Xserve.
