SmartDisk Corp. announced Thursday a new entry into the burgeoning USB flash memory drive market — its FlashHopper. Like other devices of similar ilk, SmartDisk’s FlashHopper acts as a removable drive when it’s connected to the USB port on a Mac or PC.
The FlashHopper is available in 64, 128, 256 and 512MB capacities. The prices for the FlashHopper run US$39.99, $69.99, $99.99 and $199.99 respective of capacity.
SmartDisk is selling the FlashHopper through distributors, retailers and its own Web site. Its retail network includes Apple’s online and retail stores.
System requirements for the FlashHopper call for Mac OS X 10.1 or higher, or Mac OS 8.6 or higher.
