The Christian Macintosh Users Group has been running a survey for several weeks asking interested Mac users to voice their opinions about the Bible Software programs currently available for the platform. A summary of the results are now online.
“Perhaps the most surprising thing the survey respondents had in common was their choice of operating system,” David Lang, content editor of CMUG, writes. “No less than 84 percent of those who filled out the survey were either already using OS X, or planning to migrate to it in the near future. Considering the fact that Apple estimates only about 20 percent of Mac users have made the jump to OS X, this is an astounding number.”
The top five Bible software programs, according to those who participated in the survey, are Accordance, Online Bible, iBible, Bible Reader Free and MacSword. Details on these and other Mac Bible products can be found at CMUG. Also, there’s a companion article that looks at how well Mac Bible programs compare to those available for Windows.
