has updated MacAstronomica for Mac OS X to version 2.0.2. This is the first version that runs natively in Mac OS X; it was previously available only for Mac OS 9 and Windows.
MacAstronomica is an astronomy shareware application for beginner and amateur astronomers. It generates sky maps at any time, from anywhere on Earth. The maps show all the planets and stars visible to the naked eye, as well as some galaxies and nebulas, the Ecliptic, meteor showers, and the Milky Way. Constellations are drawn in their traditional form, and a table lists the visible objects.
MacAstronomica requires Mac OS X 10.2 or later. Registration is US$25.
