Developer Bob Delaney has released Extended Plugin 1.0 for REALbasic 5, the software development environment from Real Software.
The plugin adds three new data types: ExtInteger (the type ZZ of Victor Shoup’s multi-precision library, NTL), ExtFloat (the type RR of NTL), and ExtComplex. ExtComplex doesn’t exist in NTL; Delaney made it from two ExtFloats. Extended Plugin lets you construct programs that can handle the three new data types much like doubles and integers are handled. It’s freeware and is now available for download.

ActiveDeveloper
InterACTIVE-Technology has released ActiveDeveloper version 2.13 for MacOS X (10.1 and higher). It’s a Runtime Objective-C & C IDE, JIT Compiler and Debugger that supports Apple’s Cocoa development environment.
Version 2.13 extends functionality in the free demo version and adds a new “ActiveDeveloper User Guide.” It’s also more robust in the Runtime Display and Inspect functions. The “ActiveDeveloper User Guide” covers both how to use the ActiveDeveloper IDE with the precooked demos contained in the download package — and how to make it work for you. Pricing for ActiveDeveloper starts at US$49 for a single platform, single user license.
