MacMice Workspace Products Co. has added iMac and eMac mounts to its line of SightClips iSight camera mounting adapters, as well as the availability of a camera tripod adapter.
On July 7 MacMice introduced the SightClips, a line of clear acrylic mounting adapters for Apple’s new iSight Webcam. The iSight was introduced during Apple CEO Steve Jobs’ keynote address at June’s Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC). It’s built to work with iChat AV, the upcoming version of iChat now available as a public beta version.
The US$39.95 SightClips kit includes three new mounting devices designed to work with the iSight. It includes a display clip that fits the top edge shape of your display, a shelf edge clip that attaches to the front edge of any shelf behind a user’s Mac system, and a full-size desk stand that raises the iSight to over six inches above a desk surface.
Now MacMice has expanded the SightClips line with US$14.99 mounts for resting the iSight on top of the flat panel iMac or the eMac. No adhesive is used. The company has also announced that the SightClip shelf edge mount (also $14.99 if purchased separately from the SightClips kit) can function as a camera tripod adapter, with its 1/4-20 threaded base fitting any industry standard camera tripod head.
