Apple on Monday released Security Update 2003-07-14, available for download through the Software Update system preferences pane in Mac OS X.
The 1.7MB update “addresses a potential vulnerability when a password is required upon waking from the Screen Effects feature, which could allow an unauthorized user access to the desktop of the logged in user,” according to Apple.
This update applies to Mac OS X v10.2.6 client and server versions, according to Apple.
If you can’t access the download through the Software Update system preferences pane, you can alternately visit Apple’s KnowledgeBase Web site for download links and further details.
