Contour Design Inc. is unveiling the ShuttlePRO V.2, a new version of their ShuttlePRO, this week.
The ShuttlePRO is a device for video, audio and multimedia editing functions. It’s comprised of three major components: the ergonomic hardware, the software drivers and control panel, and the application settings or pre-defined application support. Based on the design of the original device, the ShuttlePRO V.2 touts a new alloy jog wheel for controlling the audio/video timeline. It has 15 buttons that can be programmed to access frequently used commands. And the second generation device has a new black hue.
The ShuttlePRO V.2 is pre-programmed for such applications as Apple Final Cut Pro, Avid Express DV, Adobe Premiere, Digidesign ProTools, Emagic Logic Audio, MOTU Digital Performer, Sonic Foundry ACID, Sound Forge, and more. It can be programmed to work with just about any application, such as animation, graphics or gaming software.
Due next month at a suggested retail price of US$129.95, the ShuttlePRO V.2 connects via the USB port. It’s compatible with Mac OS X (10.1 or later).
