Mark/Space Inc. has released Missing Sync for Pocket PC version 1.0, which lets you connect and synchronize information between a Pocket PC handheld and a Mac running Mac OS X. It’s available now for electronic download.
The utility lets you sync iCal calendar events, To Do lists, and Mac OS X Address Book contact information between the handheld and a Mac. It also lets you access handheld files on the Mac desktop and do things such as transfer music and photos to the handheld. Additionally, you can share your Mac’s Internet connection with the Pocket PC handheld for browsing the Web or downloading Web pages using AvantGo. Finally, you can also synchronize wirelessly via Bluetooth or 802.11.
A special “Early Adopter” price of US$29.95 is available through Aug. 16. After this, the price will be $39.95 for a download and $49.95 for the packaged CD version. Missing Sync for Pocket PC requires Mac OS X 10.2 or higher, iSync 1.1 and a compatible Pocket PC handheld running Pocket PC 2002 or higher connecting via a USB cradle or cable.
