Apple has reduced the cost of its hardware and related peripherals by 5-15 percent for educational customers. And it’s now easier for educators to buy Apple products for their own use.
“We have simplified our education pricing to make it easier for more education customers to experience the innovative digital lifestyle of a Mac at home,” Josh Morgan of Apple said. “Higher education faculty, staff and students as well as K-12 educators can now purchase many Apple products for personal use at published institutional prices.”
Educators who already have products on order, but which haven’t shipped, should have already received an e-mail about the price changes. Their accounts will be credited with the difference as part of Apple’s price protection policy.
