Bare Bones Software Inc. has released a new update to its popular text editing software BBEdit to bring it to version 7.0.4. The new version is available for download from Bare Bones’ Web site.
The new version of BBEdit is a maintenance update, according to Bare Bones Software. It fixes reported issues — dozens of them — and also adds minor enhancements and refinements to the way HTML Markup preferences are handled and to the way files are committed via Concurrent Versions System (CVS) source control. The update will bring any 7.0.x release to 7.0.4.
BBEdit has been developed as a high-performance HTML and text editor specifically for the Macintosh. The text editor provides advanced search, transformation and manipulation capabilities. It carries a suggested retail price of US$179.
The update is available as a 15MB disk image for both Mac OS X and Mac OS 9.
