The Pixel Farm will release version 1.1 of PFTrack, a 3D camera match-moving application, on Aug. 1. It’s compatible with Mac OS X (10.2 and higher).
PFTrack provides a suite of tools for matching computer generated content with film or video footage of any resolution. Version 1.1 — which will be unveiled at next week’s Siggraph trade show in San Diego, Calif. — expands the software’s capability in calibration algorithms. The calibration capabilities have been extended through enhanced management of the user features in the workflow.
PFTrack 1.1 also increases the number of camera presets and adds the ability for user-definable presets. File export for Apple’s Shake and other file formats have been added. There are also new distortion correction features and extended matte tools functionality.
PFTrack 1.1 will cost US$4,822, while student licenses run $80. Upgrades for current registered users are free.
