A new version (1.3) of Morph Age, the consumer-oriented image distortion tool for Mac OS X, is available from eX-cinder. It now features Bézier spline input, allowing greater flexibility and better deformation control.
Morph Age works by allowing you to define warp curves on the original image. Any change made on the target warp curves is reflected on the resulting image through the corresponding distortion effect. Morph Age can animate warp curves independently, so that different parts of the image (eyes, mouth, ears, etc.) can move at different times. Also, animation effects are available, such as springy motion. Morph Age can show the result in real-time when using the Live Update mode, so you can prototype the transformation. Input image formats include TIFF, PDF, GIF, and JPEG; output formats are TIFF and QuickTime.
Version 1.3 is a free update to registered users. For new users, Morph Age costs US$20.
