Parker Software has updated three of its products: NewsHunter, Archer and ArcherPro. All are built for use with Mac OS X.
NewsHunter is a US$49.95 Usenet newsgroup application. Version 2.1.3 gets speed improvements in the Article Queue window and a “Reveal in Finder” button added to the Decoding Tab. The latter lets you to navigate quickly to the displayed image in the Finder. There’s also a new checkbox on the Home tab that lets you decide if NewsHunter should download queued articles and then the rest of the articles in the newsgroup, or download queued articles and then stop. NewsHunter 2.1.3 also offers new Subscribe to Newsgroups tabs and options.
Archer, a free multimedia viewer, has been revved to version 2.3.3, adding the ability to change the background using the standard Color Picker window, as well as by pressing either the Period or Comma key.
ArcherPro, Parker Software’s more advanced multimedia viewer, is now up to version 3.1.1. The upgrade lets you set ArcherPro as the only choice when you need single keystroke editing for large numbers of image files. Also new is a Pan Image command, which lets you pan through images larger than your display. Additionally, Parker Software has added the ability to change the default background color as well as the background color for individual images using the new commands found under Background Menu. ArcherPro is $29.95.
The upgrades are free to current users.
