UK-based The Advanced Media Group (AMG) on Tuesday announced the release of Apple Loops CDs created specifically for Soundtrack. The company also plans several more releases in the near future.
Last month’s Macworld CreativePro Conference & Expo saw Apple release Soundtrack as a standalone application. The software, which had previously been bundled with Final Cut Pro, allows users to create professional-sounding soundtracks for their digital video or multimedia projects using loop files.
“Soundtrack should allow many non-musicians to create professional bespoke music for the first time and provide a useful new tool for the professionals too,” said AMG founder Matthew Wilkinson. “We were extremely keen to pioneer the format and give Soundtrack users access to what we believe to be the most inspiring sample library available anywhere.”
AMG’s offerings include UltraMagnetic Beats — Lukecage — Apple Loops Version. The disc contains 78 different, complete songs with isolated elements that you can mix and match, a total of 634.3MB of content. It’s £60.
Also available is 160dB: The Drum&Bass Interface — N-Jay — Apple Loops Version. This collection, created by a professional Drum & Bass producer working the underground UK club scene, includes breaks, upright bass licks, atmospheres, drum hits, effects, live drum loops, Rhodes lines and much more — a total of 368.7MB of data, with 497 samples all told. It’s £30.
Demo files are available. And if you’re worried about delivery costs outside the UK, the company advertises that it ships worldwide free of charge.
