Dr. Bott is now shipping the naviPod, a wireless remote control for the iPod. It has a receiver that plugs into the top of the Apple device and a five-button infrared remote control with the same functions as the iPod wired remote.
The US$49.95 naviPod was built by TEN Technology so that iPod users could control audio functions from across a room when being used with, for example, connected speakers. It’s available in two models, both of which have an audio out port and chrome stand. The naviPod for original iPod is compatible with the first two generations of the digital device; naviPod for 3G iPod is compatible with latest generation of iPods. Both are available now.
The naviPod measures 2.12 by 0.65 by 0.65 inches. It comes with a button-cell battery.
