Apple on Wednesday released a point update to its AirPort drivers, bringing them to version 3.1.1. The new version “provides improved AirPort wireless networking software,” according to the release.
Apple recommends that the update be installed by all users with AirPort Extreme-enabled computers or AirPort Extreme base stations. The new version includes AirPort Extreme base station firmware v5.1.1.
Apple did not offer specific information on what’s changed in this new version as MacCentral posted this article. The 7.8MB file can be downloaded through the Software Update System Preferences pane.
