Audio software maker Waves Ltd. has announced support for Mac OS X’s Audio Units technology in its products. Audio Units support is available for any Waves v4 native product installed under Mac OS X v10.2, according to the company.
Waves develops digital signal processing (DSP)-based solutions for audio professionals. The company developes a variety of audio processor plug-ins. Audio Units support is offered for plug-ins used with BIAS – PEAK 4.0, TC-Works Spark 2.8, and Emagic’s Logic Audio 6.1, “with impaired stability that will be fixed with Logic Audio 6.2,” according to the developers.
Waves Ltd. noted that other Audio Units host applications will “see” the Wave Audio Units plug-ins, although they are not certified to work properly.
