Advanced Team Scheduler, a sports scheduling system for Mac OS X, has been updated to version 7.0. The update adds expanded, object oriented support for team player rosters among other features.
The US$32 application from Niagara Software is built for people who organize team sporting or game events. It can organize an unlimited number of teams for an unlimited number of games.
As of version 7.0, players can be displayed as active or inactive within the roster list. Activated player lists can be imported and exported as rosters in XML format for integration into other copies of ATS. Activated player lists can be exported as: rosters in HTML format to be displayed over a network; rosters in CSV format for integration into spreadsheet programs like Microsoft Excel or Filemaker Pro; individual team game line up forms in HTML format for hard copy printing of game roster presentations; or individual team game line up forms in CSV format for hard copy printing of game roster presentations.
With version 7, there’s an enhanced Swap Utility to not only swap home and away game advantages, and game pairings, but objects within specified games. ATS now has an e-mail client integrated directly into the scheduler so that users may instantly assemble e-mail messages to targeted recipients associated with games to a particular schedule, date, game, or selected group of games.
All objects (team contacts, officials, location contacts, players) associated with those user-defined games can be notified in the event of game cancellations or changes in game schedule. The e-mail client supports multi-part mime types (attachments) so schedules or object data can be distributed via e-mail as well.
