A public beta of
4.0 for Mac OS X is due Sept.1. FaceSpan is an interface design and rapid application development (RAD) solution used in conjunction with AppleScript.
The combination lets you add features and functionality in customizing just about any scriptable application, including FileMaker Pro, Cumulus, QuarkXPress, InDesign, Creator2, Word, Excel, Photoshop, Illustrator and the Mac Finder. FaceSpan includes editors for constructing windows, scripts, and menus, as well as a management environment through which you can inspect, edit, duplicate, and delete each application’s scripts, interface components and resources.
You can use it to automate often-repeated tasks, integrate the functionality of multiple applications, build applications and prototypes and personalize your Mac computing environment. Pricing for version 4.0 hasn’t been announced.
