Electric Butterfly Inc., a Web site design and software development company, has relaunched RB Garage, a free resource site for REALbasic users. REALbasic is the software development environment from Real Software.
RB Garage touts 500 links to third-party plug-ins, classes, modules, examples, tutorials and more. It was originally launched in August 2002 by Massimo Valle, founder of Macron Software. However, when he decided to close it in June and focus on other projects, Electric Butterfly acquired the site.
The new owners have added a member login (developers can now add, edit, and update their listings at any time), enhanced navigation (you can intuitively browse for items based on subject) and an improved search engine (keyword searches are now faster and searches list name, description and author fields). RB Garage also has a new interface: listings now include additional information, plus you can sort through listings in each category by either Name, Kind, Author, Date Added or Rating.
