MacCentral brought readers details about Quicken 2004’s pending Mac release earlier this month. Intuit Inc. followed up Wednesday with the news that the new version of the personal financial application is now shipping.
Quicken is designed to provide individuals with ways to track their income, expenses and investments, and can be used to balance checkbooks, maintain stock portfolios and pay bills. Quicken 2004 gains numerous features and capabilities.
Improvements to Quicken 2004 include the ability to monitor an entire portfolio in one place; integration with iCal for bill payment scheduling and improvements to the Quicken Bill Pay service. An Emergency Records Organizer helps users store details of insurance, financial accounts, wills and medical records.
Quicken 2004 supports Mac OS X and Mac OS 9 and is expected to be available at retailers beginning today. The suggested retail price is US$69.95, but a $20 rebate is available for users of previous versions.
