MacsDesign Studio on Wednesday updated Web Help Desk — technical support software for education and enterprise customers — to version 6.4. The update introduces iCal integration, the ability to save queries for tickets and assets, and more.
You can now monitor your ticket due dates and scheduled work hours using iCal on Mac OS X. You can subscribe to calendars for a specific technician, tech group, or a saved query for more flexibility. Complete ticket information is available in each calendar entry’s notes field.
The Web Help Desk, built on a Java foundation, is a 100 percent, browser-based solution. Supported platforms include Mac OS X, Windows 2000, Linux and Solaris 8. It provides e-mail reporting/notification, integrated asset management, real-time PDF reports and more.
In addition to iCal integration, version 6.4 also offers new search options for tickets and assets; enhanced PDF invoicing; new date and time selection widgets; new filtering options for the technician ticket list; expanded import options for assets and clients; and a new HTML e-mail option.
A demo version of Web Help Desk 6.4 is available for download at the MacsDesign Studio Web site. For pricing information, call (866) 701-0227.
