MacRailSoft has released RailModeller v2.0, a new version of their track plan designer for model railroad enthusiasts. The software now runs natively in Mac OS X and adds new features as well.
RailModeller includes about 70 track libraries from various vendors, and enables users to view their track plans in 2D and 3D. You can export your plan as a picture in various file formats and can create part lists based on the plans as well. An external graphical editor for libraries is also included.
Besides native Mac OS X support, RailModeller v2.0 now supports various metric and imperial measurement units, can automatically calculate track length, features a new “zoom-system” display mode, includes a price editor and much more.
RailModeller v2.0 is offered as shareware and can be downloaded now. The software costs €25 or $25 to register. System requirements call for a Mac running Mac OS X or Mac OS 9 or higher, QuickTime 4 or better and OpenGL (if you wish to use the 3D mode).
