CourseForum Technologies has released updated versions of ProjectForum and CourseForum, Web-based software that provides networked computer users with a way of coordinating projects together.
ProjectForum is specifically designed to facilitate workgroup projects, business teams and project intranets. The software can be hosted on a variety of platforms including Mac OS X, and works through a standard Web browser. Practical examples of ProjectForum uses include project planning, to do list management, design notes, task assignment distributing, meeting notes and more.
The new version gains Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) support, which enables workgroups to communicate through encrypted channels to make sure that the data they’re working with is hidden from prying eyes. Version 2.5 also employs some enhancements and bug fixes.
ProjectForum licenses start at US$199; CourseForum licenses start at $79. Free versions are available, and CourseForum Technologies also offers a hosting service.
